As of this writing, Shopify has more than 2,200 ecommerce apps to choose from. That’s enough apps to force anyone into analysis paralysis! So to say the least, it can be difficult to know what apps would be the best for your dropship store, especially the apps that influence your bottom line, aka your sales volume!
If you’re wondering which are the best Shopify apps to boost sales the following 6 apps are the major ones I use to enhance and maximize online sales.
I’ve placed a Shopify explainer/training video next to each section where possible to show you how to use the app on your store.
I use Spocket to quickly find and import profitable products from the United States to my niche stores and product lines. It’s a huge time saver. And it’s a super simple app to use.
While it’s always best to establish solid relationships with USA suppliers who enforce minimum advertised policies (M.A.P.), Spocket makes it simple for you to quickly find targeted products and import them at a few clicks of your mouse. They simply make it easy to fill in the gaps on any of my stores to build it out quicker.
Sometimes I also use Spocket myself and with students I mentor to launch a M.V.P. (minimum viable product) dropship store so I can get approved with USA suppliers directly much faster. This approach can save you a great deal of time and money.
You can alternatively, use Spocket to entirely build your niche store and skip the entire process of getting approved with suppliers directly. I don’t advise that though. I do understand however, that there are people who struggle with cutting out the middle man and getting approved with suppliers. Spocket can help you out.
In any case, just know that it’s best to use Spocket as a strategic supplier source for your dropship store, not the only supplier source. It’s best to secure relationships with multiple dropship suppliers, especially in the USA if you are new and living here.
There is no supplier approval process you need to deal with at Spocket. It’s hassle free. You simply sign up for the free Shopify app here. In a matter of minutes you can use their filtering tools to search their entire supplier database to find and import low to high ticket products to your dropship store on Shopify.
The Spocket demo video below will walk you through on how to use the Spocket app on your Shopify store.
Spocket has tens of thousands of products to choose from all sourced from Europe and USA suppliers. They also allow for custom branding or blind dropshipping as we call it, which is a tremendous part of any marketing process for dropship retailers that make it easier to generate repeat sales from your customers in the future.
- Cost: $0 for free plan. You can upgrade to premium plans if desired.
Their (USA) United States suppliers carry products in the following major niche categories:
- Clothing niche products
- Baby products
- Home & garden
- Bath and beauty
- And sporting
One of the chief keys to successful dropship marketing (actually, any ecommerce marketing) is through leveraging quality product reviews.
Loox is a photo review Shopify app which allows you to automatically collect, post and moderate reviews with visual optimization.
The fact is, text-based reviews are quickly becoming a thing of the past; particularly on a platform like Shopify, where users rely on visually rich product details to drive sales. Not only can you request reviews, but you can import them from other sources, integrate them with inline SEO to direct maximum traffic and even share them on social media. If you’re ready to get serious about dropshipping using Shopify, Loox is a must.

By 2021, it’s estimated that nearly 54 percent of all global ecommerce sales will be through mobile. And if you want to keep up with that trend, you not only need to sell via mobile but market effectively as well.
SMSBump allows you to do both. You can launch and track easily customizable SMS campaigns, automate, track and confirm orders, filter campaigns to target specific segments, reactivate customers and a host of other useful features at a cost starting at less than 1 cent per message in the U.S. This is probably the first app I would recommend to anyone ready to delve into m-commerce field.
- Cost: There is no cost to install, but there can be a costs depending on the features you use such as text marketing.
Almost two thirds of all social media traffic to Shopify stores comes from Facebook. And commerce generated from social media is poised to be right behind traditional mobile and ecommerce over the next five years.
One of the great things about Recart is that it not only helps you to develop and launch effective Facebook marketing campaigns via Messenger, but it also recovers and reminds customers of abandoned carts and comes with an automation function; allowing you to chat with customers, send order and delivery notice and launch instant campaigns targeting specific high volume dates.
In my experience, this is a much more personalized way of customer outreach and is one of the reasons I highly recommend it.

There’s been a little bit of buzz over the past few years about upselling and suggestive marketing from both proponents and opponents, but the fact is… it works. After all, it’s what helped drive the success of Amazon. And upselling is one ecommerce tool you can’t afford to miss out on.
What makes Boost so great is their upselling function is powered by AI, which means a much more precise selection of higher end products to recommend to customers.
You can also cross sell by bundling dropship products together for higher sales averages and customize smart coupon pop ups to suggest additional products for customers at a discount.
This is a great tool to use alongside SMSBump to drive mobile commerce sales. I personally have found the call to action bar to be extremely useful in driving sales conversions, but what really stands out for me is the mobile gallery. As I noted previously, visual optimization is an absolute must when it comes to sales and marketing; and the mobile gallery can display images in a full screen view with an automatic click-to-add feature. Best of all, it’s free, mobile-friendly and takes up virtually no additional space on your site.
